This is JUST what you wanted to read about. I just know it.
I make no secret of the fact that I hate public restroom facilities. Stopping for potty breaks on vacation is very unpleasant for me. Far too often public restrooms are really horribly unclean and downright disgusting.
My office shares a restroom with the other occupants of our floor. There are probably 3 other offices that use these restrooms. For a good long time, none of the other offices had female employees so the other two gals in my office and I had a very pleasant restroom. Always clean. Always well-stocked. Never scary.
Until SHE came. I don’t know her name and for a long time I didn’t know what SHE looked like. After finding the bathroom in various levels of disrepair and mismanagement, we dubbed the mysterious person "The Bathroom Bandit". Her vandalism varied from using all of the tp and not refilling it and papertowels haphazardly thrown on the floor (not even trying to get it in the trash bin), to various other highly unpleasant evidences of foul behavior. Really, it was, and continues to be, gross.
I realize bathrooms, especially public ones, are difficult to keep clean. We have ladies that clean ours once a week and do a nice job. I realize that not everything that happens in a bathroom is pleasant. HOWEVER, my parents taught me some basic rules of polite behavior and I am at a loss as to how The Bathroom Bandit excuses her messiness. It is so bad, we have actually considered giving her a note about it being a shared restroom and how we all need to chip in to make it tidy and pleasant.
You think I am being picky. And maybe I am a little bit. But could you witness the state of this area as I have, you wouldn't argue.
The other day, I ran into her in said restroom as she was washing her hands and I was waiting (for at least 5 minutes) to wash mine. I’m not going to tell you who she is or what she looks like. Let’s just say, mystery solved. The Bathroom Bandit has been identified. My curiosity is satiated. My desire for cleanliness is not.
