It makes me nervous when I tune in to my local news station and the only thing they can say about the weather is "Its gonna be a giant mess." That's not good. Then I tune in to a national news station and find that they are also predicting "very dangerous conditions" for Iowa. Super. Duper.
At least I can say that in the last few days I have made every attempt to enjoy the spring-like weather that graced our little town. Its a wonderful thing when you walk outside and realize you are wearing too many layers and have to strip some off. Reagan seemed to enjoy her strolls as well. She never cried, which is surprising considering the bumpiness of the journey. But just like a can of pop that is shaken, the poor kid had a bit of an explosion when we got home and she got out of the stroller. Oops. Mental note - look for smoother sidewalks.
We didn't have any spectacular plans for our weekend. Saturday morning is my bible study - I'll probably be ready for some warm coffee. We were hoping to have dinner at a friends' house on Saturday evening. That may or may not work out. Sunday I assisted in planning the worship service and I would really like to be there for that. The biggest disappointment will probably be a weekend without a visit from Reagan's grandparents. There have been few weekends in her life where she didn't see at least one set. But the dangerous roads will probably keep us all homebound - so we'll just save up all her cuteness for next weekend.
Most of our entertainment will come from a certain small person that has invaded our home. She tends to take center stage. And as I told her yesterday, she is cute even when she cries. Her latest developments include: sitting in front of a mirror and smiling/laughing at her reflection; trying to do situps when in a reclined position (ie: bouncy seat); and last but not least gagging herself with her own fist. I'm telling ya, she's a show stopper. Unfortunately, she is not a snow stopper.
How's that for a cheesy ending?

Jean, you are absolutely hilarious! I LOVE reading your blogs. sorry I don't respond more. Your writing is very entertaining - no matter what random topic you are going on about!
Would you consider writing a book, about life, or life's randomness...? I would buy the first copy. :)
Reagan & Bennett are doing much of the same things - smiling in mirrors, gaging on fists... being adorable, ... did you ever think you'd love being a mom THIS much?! :) -Laura
