"Drippy" is a term typically associated with Tulip Time. However, usually we are describing the food - not so much the weather. This year...its both. Supposedly Saturday is going to be pretty...and hot...and extremely humid. All that translates to outrageously busy. Hubby and I plan to not go uptown for long on Saturday.
So Thursday was a mild success as far as TT food. I enjoyed my first plate of poffertjes (spelled wrong and don't care), my first (NOT my last) BBQ pork sandwich (heavenly), hot dog (cuz I'm a kid at heart), and potato wedges with cheese sauce (good). Today's menu includes a smoothie, chocolate covered cheesecake, perhaps another BBQ sandwich, and maybe a slice of good old pizza.
Reagan and I spent the better part of the morning at my office. People bring in lots of food here so seriously, where else would we go? Then we went home where she took a nice long nap and I cleaned the whole house. Be. Very. Impressed. When Hubby got home, the three of us meandered up town for some grub. When we left it was misting. When we got home it was raining. We are thankful for strollers with little sun/rain shields. In the evening I had praise team practice for our Sunday morning service. I cannot tell you how much fun we had. It was, in a word, hilarious. There was laughing, there were goosebumps, there was a good spirit. Not to mention the songs are AWESOME! Wow. Sunday morning is going to be c o o l.
So that is the long and short of it. I work this morning and then have the afternoon off to...take a nap. I cleaned yesterday therefore I earned nap time today. If it wasn't raining, Reagan and I would wander up town. But alas, a nap for both of us it is. Don't worry. We'll manage.
