How I eat my cereal.

Every morning I have a bowl of my favorite cereal - Lucky Charms. It doesn’t have to be the "real" Lucky Charms. Generic forms are often quite acceptable as well. I fill my plastic bowl, grab a large spoon and settle in to the recliner for some much needed food.

Most people would simply plunge their spoon into the cereal and milk and begin munching away. Most people could probably finish their bowl of cereal in 5 - 8 minutes. Most people would merely eat whatever each spoonful held.

I am not most people.

See, I don’t eat the marshmallows until the very end. The first several minutes of my breakfast are spent carefully segregating the marshmallows from the cereal pieces. Marshmallows go on one end of the bowl. Cereal pieces on the other. After I have ensured that all the brightly colored marshmallows are located safely away from the cereal pieces, I go to work on eating the cereal. If a marshmallow happens to wander away from its pile, I carefully scoop it up in my spoon and place it back where it came from. When at last all the cereal bits are gone, I am left with a bowl full of marshmallows. My inner child (the psychological one) rejoices at the sight. I savor each spoonful of sugary non-nutritional goodness.

And if you think that is weird, you should see me eat Bunny Tracks ice cream.
