He not only watched Sesame Street as a child, he still remembers the various funny clips, cartoons, antics, characters, etc. Sesame Street is basically Saturday Night Live for children. We still share smiles and "Oooo, remember the time..." conversations.
Most people give me blank looks when I mention something from Sesame Street. Some of them even say things like "I watched Sesame Street, but I don't remember any of it". I feel sad for them. Only two other people besides hubby have ever been able to share in my recollections.
- My brother who watched the show religiously with me - tho his favorite part of the show was the credits at the end
- My college roommate who is now a kindergarten teacher
1. Don - the little guy that played the piano and could not remember the words to Row Row Row Your Boat so he repeatedly slammed his head against the keyboard crying in despair "IÂll never get it, never, never never!"
2. The cartoon of the cowboy is riding his horse. The horse stops, turns to the cowboy and says "I think I am going to fall to pieces." A split second later the horse shatters into a million pieces.
3. Any and all Super Grover episodes.
4. The time Grover went to KermitÂs house to sell him a weather machine. Or the time Grover went to KermitÂs house to sell him various items like ear muffs (Kermit has no ears) and ends up selling him the fake glasses, mustache, ears and nose. Whenever Kermit and Grover were together, Kermit always had a spastic explosion moment wherein he would wildly flap his arms around in the air and scream at Grover.
5. Bert and Ernie episodes. Bert always tried to make Ernie look dumb, and Ernie always ended up looking like the smart, calm, collected one.
6. I also love the name "Mr. Snuffleupagus". I want to know two things - who came up with this and how.
7. I still count the way "The Count" counted. "One, ah ha ha. Two, ah ha ha."
Do any of you have any favorite Sesame Street memories which you would like to share?

My absolute favorite was this little glass that had a man on it that would come out of the cupboard and solve crimes. He could disappear and reappear through wall and counters. What was his name? Something like super duper guy?
I remember, his name was Teeny Little Super Guy.
I just thought of another one. The cartoon of the farmer who sat under a tree and sang "There are chickens in the trees, there are chickens in the trees. Won't you count them for me please. There are chickens in the trees." Good stuff.
