bits 'n pieces

We have returned from our journeys to the North. The wedding went well and we had a good time seeing some family that we don’t run into very often. I spent most of my time looking through the viewfinder on my camera. I took somewhere in the realm of 5 rolls of pictures. Hopefully they turn out well! This was Brian’s kind of weekend - always something to do. He looked quite spiffy in his tux, might I add.

We got our crib bedding last night. No, we don’t have a crib yet. I managed to wait until Brian got home to open the box. As he was cutting it open I was doing the happy dance in front of him. He gave me a look at one point, wondering if I had too much sugar, and then continued cutting the box open. I am QUITE pleased with myself for finding this stuff for such a good price. I almost spent a lot more money on another set, but found this at Walmart (as much as I hate to admit that) and snapped it up immediately ON SALE! I saved myself about $200. Go me. Brian loves me more than he thought possible.

Tonight we have our church picnic. I would personally like to express my deep gratitude to the person who decided this event should be catered and not potlucked. You know my thoughts on potlucks. So basically, we just have to show up and eat. My kind of party!

Update on Osama - he built a nest and has two little babies under the neighbors deck. Yes, these are the same neighbors that made the fatal mistake of saving his life years ago. Karma.
