Weekend Update - not the Saturday Night Live variety

This weekend we managed to have a great deal of fun! Friday night I had a scrapbooking party which I immensely enjoyed. Saturday morning was Bible study with an intriguing discussion. I can’t tell you what we talked about or they will kick me out. Ha ha. Just kidding. Okay, not really. Saturday noon my family (minus my dad) came to see us. We went out for lunch and then hung out and laughed at each other. Brian assisted Amy in some softball preparations. He was thrilled to have the chance to do something sporty again. Saturday evening we had a couples ministry party wherein we hosted the elders, deacons and their spouses. Good food and an entertaining "Newlywed Game" were enjoyed by all. Sunday brought lots of rest and relaxation for a change. No praise team for me this week. We weren’t quite sure what to do with ourselves since we didn’t have to be at church at the crack of dawn for anything - so we decided to sleep in. And then we got sick of sleeping in and crashed on the couch watching all kinds of boring Sunday morning television. Of course the afternoon called for more crashing on the couch - only this time I was the only one sleeping. Brian spent many hours watching basketball as quietly as he could in order not to wake me. For the most part, we peacefully co-existed. Sunday night was Cadet Sunday. Brian looked pretty spiffy at the front of church in his "uniform". As a side note - we like our pastor more and more every time we hear him preach. And now Monday morning brings me back to my computer and back to updating you on all the groovy happenings in our life. And this concludes the most boring post EVER! I apologize. I will try to be more creative next time. A little birdie told me that I am pretty good at this blog-business and should continue. So despite my self-doubt, I will continue to ramble in the days to come. Just remember - you asked for it.
