Guilty Freeloaders

We don’t pay for food anymore. In the last 5 trips to Pizza Hut, we have paid 0 times. For example, this weekend Brian told me to call in and order pizza and he would go pick it up after his meeting. I called late and he got there early so they hadn’t gotten my order by the time he got there. He tried to explain that his wife was the one at fault (thanks honey) and he would just come back. They strenuously protested and GAVE him two pizzas saying it was their fault (which it wasn’t). He begged them to let him pay for it - three times. They objected - three times. It was the guiltiest pizza I have ever tasted. I am tempted to send them $13 cash. Last time they lost our order (translation: the kid in back got hungry and ate it) so it was free. I wonder if this happens to anyone else?

It is my birthday month!!! I know you all woke up this morning and thought the same thing. I grew up in a family who gave birthday gifts. So it may come as a surprise to many of you that I don’t really want a gift this year. (Brian, that doesn’t apply to you and you are not off the hook.) I just want to have a nice dinner with my family. That will be gift enough for me.
